About Keoladeo (Bharatpur)
Keoladeo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most important bird sanctuaries, developed from a duck-hunting reserve built by the Maharajas of Bharatpur. Over 380 species of birds have been recorded here, including tens of thousands of wintering ducks, geese, and waders from Central Asia and Siberia. The Sarus cranes that breed here are the world's tallest flying birds.
