About Corbett

Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India, established in 1936 as Hailey National Park and the world's first Project Tiger reserve in 1973. Named after the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett, whose book Man-Eaters of Kumaon made the forests of Uttarakhand world-famous. The Ramganga River flowing through the park is one of India's finest tiger-watching venues.
