About Bandipur

Bandipur National Park is the jewel of Karnataka's wildlife heritage, part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve — India's largest biosphere reserve. Together with Nagarahole, Mudumalai, and Wayanad, it forms the Nilgiris elephant corridor through which 6,000 wild elephants move seasonally, the largest wild elephant population in Asia. The park's dry deciduous teak forests and open glades provide some of the finest big game viewing anywhere in southern India.
