About Keibul Lamjao

Keibul Lamjao National Park is the world's only floating national park, existing on the phumdis — masses of floating vegetation — of Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in northeast India. The park is the last natural refuge of the sangai, the brow-antlered deer of Manipur, a critically endangered species that has adapted to live on these shifting floating islands.
