About Kanha

Kanha National Park is one of India's finest parks, said to have inspired Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. The park saved the hard-ground barasingha from extinction, and today a herd of over 500 graze the park's famous meadows. The Kanha meadow — a broad grassland framed by Sal forest — is the most likely place in India to watch tigers hunt barasingha on an open stage.
