About Gulf of Mannar Marine
Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park encompasses twenty-one islands between Rameswaram and Tuticorin, protecting one of the richest marine ecosystems in India. The park's seagrass meadows are the most important feeding habitat for the dugong in the subcontinent, and the coral reefs support an astounding diversity of marine species. The gulf is also a migratory corridor for olive ridley turtles and whales.
