About Mount Harriet Rainforest

Mount Harriet National Park is the most accessible tropical forest excursion from Port Blair, perched on a ridge with panoramic views over the South Andaman Island coastline. The park was the site of the British colonial headquarters before Port Blair was developed, and the ruins of the old chieftain bungalow remain in the forest. The park is an excellent birding destination with many of the Andaman's endemic birds visible within a single morning walk.
