About Pambadum Shola

Pambadum Shola National Park is one of the smallest national parks in India, yet it protects a pristine fragment of the ancient high-altitude Shola forest. The Shola ecosystem of the Ghats is one of the most evolutionarily distinct plant communities on earth, and despite its tiny area, this park is an important scientific benchmark for what pristine Shola looks like.
