About Mathikettan Shola
Mathikettan Shola National Park is a pocket wilderness of montane evergreen forest and rolling grasslands in the Idukki district. The park forms part of the Pampadum-Mathikettan complex protecting an important corridor of high-elevation Ghats ecosystem, and the lion-tailed macaque moves through the Shola canopy in small family groups.
